By air
If you are coming to Rotterdam by air, Rotterdam Airport is a good option, since it has frequent connections with London and other European (capital) cities. You can also come via Schiphol Amsterdam Airport. From there it will take you about an hour by train or taxi to get to Ahoy.

Public transport
The Ahoy Indoor Arena is easy to get to by public transport. From Rotterdam Central Station, take the subway or bus to Rotterdam Zuidplein. This stop is only five minutes’ walk from Ahoy. For information, including details of timetables, see www.9292ov.nl and www.ret.nl (click on ‘English’ on both websites).

Bear in mind that you need a Public Transport (OV) chip card in the Rotterdam public transport network. You can buy a disposable ticket for 2 journeys by subway at the entrance to the subway(metro). You can also order an OV chip card now through the RET web shop on www.ret.nl. This website will also provide you with information on travelling with the OV chip card.

Own transport and parking
Ahoy is conveniently situated for all exit roads. Travelling by car on the Ring Rotterdam-Zuid (A15), take the Ahoy Zuidplein exit, then follow signs to Ahoy. Parking in the Ahoy car park costs €11 per car. The rate for touring cars is €35. Depending on the number of visitors to the sporting event, you pay on entering the car park, and when you wish to leave you can drive away immediately. For reference see www.ahoy.nl (click on ‘English’).

You can also park in the Zuidplein covered carpark, five minutes’ walk from Ahoy, for the price indicated, or in various park and ride – P+R – car parks, such as at the Slinge and Capelsebrug subway (metro) stations. Up-to-the minute traffic information is given on www.bereikbareregiorotterdam.nl en www.anwb.nl.
